Saugus was once a small town in northern Los Angeles County where the Santa Clara River, Bouquet Creek, and the South Fork all met up with a bend in the rail road in 1887. It was ranching and farming community. Today it is just one part of the much larger city of Santa Clarita and the ranching and farming are largely replaced by tract homes and commercial outlets.
Here are photographs from a small part of Saugus the offers the slightest recollection of how Saugus once looked.
